HERE AT HOME
With our mission being to rescue and secure forever homes for all the dogs in need. The demand always seems to be more than we can supply. Yours and other people like you generosity is what enables us to do what we love to do. Presently we are trying to fund the acquisition of some property adjacent to us which would expand our facility by 50%. Our plans are to replace and repair the bungalows which house the dogs along with the addition of "fenced dog runs" for each bungalow.
FOSTER HOMES
At WANDA Cares, we are lucky to have some very caring individuals, couples and families that open their homes to "Foster" some of our four pawed friends. These parties commit to housing an adoptee for a limited time until a forever home can be located and approved.
VET SERVICES
All of the dogs that come through our facility are thoroughly checked out by our local veterinarian Dr. Emily North of Midtown Clinic in Ocala FL. Dr. Emily and her staff make sure all the animals are up to date on their vaccines, get them started on preventitive measures for heart worms, fleas, ticks and the like. It is also a mandatory measure that all the dogs both male and female are neutered and spay.
